Tips and Tricks to Reducing Anxiety and Panic

In the audio above you’ll get some tips you can use when obstacles such as anxiety, worry or fear gets in your way. What we are doing is developing a template you can use whenever an emotional obstacle stops you from moving towards your goals.

We start by looking at where you are now – then w’ell discuss where you wish to be in your life, career, relationship. And then we’ll look at what is getting in the way, the obstacles, keeping you from achieving the life you want, or to be the person you want to be without the anxiety

What is needed to use this template:
A journal and a pen, or a computer if you prefer.

1st Step:
Where are you now? Look at the areas in your life are being affected by anxiety, fear, worry, procrastination, etc.
-List them in your journal.

2nd Step:
Where do you want it to be? What are the goals you want to accomplish. How do you want to feel?
-List them in your journal.

3rd Step:
Mind search to find what is going on, when and where does anxiety, fear or worry get in the way.
-List the things that are obstacles getting in the way of your goals.

Bonus Step 1:
A gift you can give to yourself right now.
a. Write down, what you would like it to be like.
b. Pick a specific situation you want to have different, and write down the smallest changes that would have to happen to give you hope that things can be different. List them in your journal.

Note: It’s really important to write instead of just thinking about these things. When you see the written information and it clears the mind for better thinking.

Bonus Step 2:
Setting a positive, compelling future.
a. Imagine it is months in the future and you know how to create calm even in the most stressful situations. You have learned how to stop procrastination and replace it with motivation and passions.
b. As if it’s already true think about what will you be doing in your life?   Pick one specific goal and imagine you have already accomplished the goal.  (listen to the audio for the example):
c. Close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths and then: Step into the positive, future, image where you have achieved your goal. And it’s as if you are looking out of your own eyes, noticing where you are, what is happening and how it feels in this future image.

NOTE:
Two reasons to use the future image tool. 
1. It will help you to uncover any obstacles – or beliefs about yourself that might stop you or get in the way.
2. Gives your unconscious mind the path to move you towards.  

Then the next steps
The tool given in this article puts you on the path towards what you want. It sets up a “north star” for you unconscious mind to follow when you feel lost (in anxiety, worry or fear).
